ENSEMBLE TRAVEL “Imagine Happiness” CONTEST
TO ENTER:
Contest begins at 12:00 noon, June 1, 2011. Enter by visiting http://contest.southpacificexperiences.com, submitting a photo (showing your biggest, warmest most infectious smile) and telling us how one of our South Pacific destinations could make it bigger (100 words maximum). Complete the entry ballot; click on “enter”. All entries must be received by 5pm, January 31, 2012, the contest closing date. Mechanically reproduced/hard copy forms will not be eligible.
Entries are limited to five (5) per person, email address or household throughout the contest. If any entrant enters more than five times, any additional entries from that entrant will be disqualified. Each photo and story must be different. Duplicates will be eliminated and the entrant submitting duplicate photos and stories will be disqualified. Each photo and story will be considered as a single entry. All photos must be original and no stock photos can be used. Any photo and/or story which, in the opinion of the judges, is deemed to be inappropriate for publication will be disqualified. All photos must be owned solely by the entrant, cannot contain nudity, may not have been submitted in any other contest, may not have been previously published, may not infringe upon any third party’s rights, may not violate any rules, law or regulation in Canada.
No photo may contain the trademark, trade name or logo of any third party (but may contain the trademark, trade name or logo of The Ensemble Travel® Group, the sponsor) and cannot contain any material that is protected by copyright. Each entrant must warrant and represent that his or her photo and/or story complies with all of these conditions and sign a declaration form to that effect before being declared a winner. By entering this contest, all entrants acknowledge and accept these official rules and all other terms and conditions governing this contest and must indicate that by completing that portion of the online entry form. By entering this contest, each entrant agrees to the use of the photo and story, together with his or her name and town of residence in all contest publicity and on the Worldwide Web in connection with this contest. All entries become the property of The Ensemble Travel® Group (the sponsor) and will not be acknowledged or returned. All entries must be received by 5pm, January 31, 2012, the contest closing date. The Ensemble Travel® Group (the contest sponsor) is not responsible for any entries destroyed, mutilated, lost or misdirected. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. Although online access and an e-mail account must be used in order to participate in this contest, no purchase of any kind is required. Many public libraries, retail businesses and others offer free access to computers and a number of Internet service providers and other companies offer free e-mail accounts. No correspondence will be entered into with any entrant except the selected entrants.
Throughout the contest, members of the general public will be able to visit the entry site and encouraged to vote for their favourite photos/stories. There is a limit of one vote per day for any one photo/story. The site will be monitored for fraud.
On July 29, 2011 a panel of Ensemble personnel will review the votes for eligible entries received between June 1, 2011 and July 27, 2011 and choose the winner of the first prize from the 10 entries with the most votes. To be eligible, entrants must submit a photo (showing their biggest, warmest most infectious smile) and tell us why Tahiti could make it bigger (100 words maximum).
On September 30, 2011, the same panel will review the votes for eligible entries received between June 1, 2011 and September 28, 2011 and choose the winner of the second prize from the 10 entries with the most votes. To be eligible, entrants must submit a photo (showing their biggest, warmest most infectious smile) and tell us why Fiji could make it bigger (100 words maximum).
On November 30, 2011, the same panel will review the votes for eligible entries received between June 1, 2011 and November 28, 2011 and choose the winner of the third prize from the 10 entries with the most votes. To be eligible, entrants must submit a photo (showing their biggest, warmest most infectious smile) and tell us why Australia could make it bigger (100 words maximum).
On February 2, 2012, the same panel will review the votes for eligible entries received between June 1, 2011 and January 31, 2012 and choose the winner of the fourth prize from the 10 entries with the most votes. To be eligible, entrants must submit a photo (showing their biggest, warmest most infectious smile) and tell us why a Paul Gauguin Cruise and flight with Air Tahiti Nui to Tahiti could make it bigger (100 words maximum).
On January 31, 2012, those eligible votes received between June 1, 2011 and January 31, 2012 will be reviewed and the independent judging organization will conduct a random draw for a selected entrant for the fifth prize travel voucher.
To enter for a chance to win the Ensemble Travel “Imagine Happiness” contest, individuals will be required to provide their correct e-mail address, first and last name, complete address including postal code, phone number and age bracket. In addition, The Ensemble Travel® Group (contest sponsor) may collect certain personal, usage and purchase information. All information collected at the entry website for this contest is protected against unauthorised access. By using the entry website entrants consent to collection and use of this information by The Ensemble Travel® Group (contest sponsor).
The Ensemble Travel® Group (contest sponsor) will not wilfully disclose individually identifiable information about a contestant to any third party other than the participating travel agencies who are part of the Ensemble Travel® Group’s organization without first receiving the contestant’s permission. PRIZES:
There will be a total of five (5) prizes available to be won.
The First prize will consist of a trip for two (2) to French Polynesia. Prize includes roundtrip economy return airfare for two (2) on Air Tahiti Nui between Los Angeles International Airport and Papeete, Tahiti; one (1) night’s accommodation for two (2) at the 4-star Manava Suite Resort Tahiti, three (3) nights’ accommodation for two (2) at the 4 star Moorea Pearl Resort and Spa; three (3) nights’ accommodation for two (2) at the 4 ½ star Bora Bora Pearl Resort and Spa (all based on single or double occupancy). Prize also includes breakfast for two (2) for seven days. Other items such as roundtrip airfare for two (2) between the winner’s home and Los Angeles International Airport, fuel surcharges, US foreign taxes, September 11 security fee, land transfers, domestic air travel within the French Polynesian islands, all meals, beverages, spa treatments, travel insurance, cancellation insurance, travel documents such as passports and visas, gratuities and items of a personal nature are NOT included and are the responsibility of the winner and his or her travelling companion. Winner and the travelling companion must be 21 years of age or over on June 1, 2011 and must be permanent legal residents of either Canada or the U.S.A. All elements of this prize must be booked before December 15, 2011 and booked through Qantas Vacations. Travel must be completed between November 1, 2011 and May 31, 2012. Subject to availability and is not available for the blackout period of December 12, 2011 and January 5, 2012. No extensions will be permitted. Reservations must be confirmed 45 days prior to the travel date. Approximate retail value = $7,725.00 (USD).
The second prize will consist of a trip for two (2) to Fiji. Prize includes roundtrip economy airfare for two (2) on Air Pacific between Los Angeles International Airport and Nadi, Fiji. Prize also includes five (5) nights’ accommodation for two (2) at the 4 ½ star Matangi Private Island Resort in an Ocean view Bure, including all meals, snacks and laundry service. Other items such as roundtrip transportation between the winner’s home and Los Angeles International Airport, alcoholic beverages, spa treatments or paid activities, transfers, taxes, airport fees, gratuities , travel documentation such as passports, visas, etc. are NOT INCLUDED and are the responsibility of the winner and his or her travelling companion. Additional nights may be added to the prize but at the expense of the winner and his or her travelling companion. Prize letter from Ensemble Travel must be presented at the resort reception on check-in. All travel plans must be made through Qantas Vacations and booked before January 31, 2012. Travel must be completed by December 31, 2012 and no extensions will be permitted. Prize is subject to availability and is not available for the blackout periods of June 1, 2011-October 31, 2011 and December 15, 2011-January 7, 2012 and June 1, 2012-October 31, 2012. Winner and the travelling companion must be 21 years of age or older on June 1, 2011 and be permanent legal residents of either Canada or the U.S.A. Reservations must be confirmed 45 days prior to the travel date. Approximate retail value = $6,575.00 (USD) based on double occupancy.
The third prize will consist of a trip for two (2) to Australia. Prize will include roundtrip economy class airfare for two (2) on Qantas Airways between Los Angeles International Airport and Melbourne, three (3) nights’ 4-star accommodation in Melbourne, roundtrip domestic airfare from Melbourne to Adelaide, three (3) nights’ 40star accommodation for two (2) in Adelaide, Colonial Tramcar Dinner Tour for two (2), Yarra Valley Wine Tasting Tour for two (2), Phillip Island Wildlife Tour for two (2) and a Barossa Valley Wine Tasting Tour for two (2). Qantas Vacations reserves the right to choose the accommodation in Melbourne and Adelaide. Other items such as travel documents (such as passports and visas), travel insurance, all meals, roundtrip transportation between the winner’s home and Los Angeles International Airport, transfers, airline taxes, airline fees, gratuities and other items of a personal nature are NOT INCLUDED and are the responsibility of the winner and his or her travelling companion. All travel plans must be made through Qantas Vacations. The winner and the travelling companion must both be over 21 years of age as of June 1, 2011 and must be permanent legal residents of either Canada or the U.S.A. All prize elements must be booked before March 31, 2012. The prize is valid for travel completed by November 30, 2012. Validity will not be extended. Prize is subject to availability and is not available during the blackout period of December 1, 2011-March 1, 2012. Reservations must be confirmed 45 days before the travel date. Approximate retail value = $6,275.00 (USD).
The fourth prize will consist of roundtrip economy class airfare on Air Tahiti Nui between Los Angeles International Airport and Papeete, a seven (7) nights’ cruise for two (2) based on double occupancy on the Paul Gauguin in a window stateroom, all meals, use of all sports-related equipment and facilities, complimentary select beverages/wines (excluding all premium brands), gratuities. Travel must be taken between January 31, 2012 and December 11, 2012. Blackout dates (June 5, 2012 through September 5, 2012 and December 12, 2012 through January 5, 2013) apply. All other items such as roundtrip transportation between the winner’s home and Los Angeles International Airport, roundtrip transportation to and from the ship in Papeete, transfers, fees, taxes, travel documents such as passports and visas, travel insurance, $14 per person port charges, shore excursions are NOT INCLUDED and are the responsibility of the winner and his or her travelling companion. A cabin upgrade may be possible depending upon availability but would be at the expense of the winner and his or her travelling companion. The winner and the travelling companion must both be over the age of 21 as of June 1, 2011 and must be permanent legal residents of either Canada or the U.S.A. Extensions to the trip are not permitted. Reservations must be confirmed 45 days before the travel date. Approximate retail value = $8,095.00 (USD).
The fifth prize will be awarded in a random draw by the independent judging organization to the voters voting on the entry site between June 1, 2011 and January 31, 2012. This prize will consist of a $500 (USD) travel voucher for use with one of Ensemble Travel® Group’s South Pacific specialists for travel in the South Pacific. Entrants must be 21 years of age or older and be permanent legal residents of either Canada or the U.S.A. Approximate retail value = $500.00 (USD).
The prizes must be accepted as awarded, have no cash value, cannot be transferred, substituted, or redeemed and cannot be extended except where noted. All decisions of the judges are final.
HOW TO WIN:
In order to win, the selected entrants for each prize must first each correctly answer the time-limited mathematical, skill-testing question administered by mail. In order to be declared a winner, each selected entrant must first sign a Winner’s Affidavit and Agreement and a Publicity Release, agreeing to the use of his or her name, photo, voice and/or statements without compensation other than the prize offered. The travelling companion must also sign a Winner’s Affidavit and Agreement and Publicity Release. If the travelling companion is under the age of majority in the province in which they reside at June 1, 2011, the form must be signed by a parent or guardian. If the selected entrant answers the skill-testing question incorrectly or refuses to sign the required forms, he or she will be replaced in another draw. If any chosen travelling companion and/or his or her parent or guardian refuses to sign those forms, another travelling companion must be chosen by the winner. No winner or travelling companion will be permitted to take the prize trip without signing all the required forms. Limit of one prize per person/email address/household.
By entering the contest, all entrants agree to be bound by the rules of the contest and agree to the decisions of the independent judging organization with respect to all aspects of this contest. All permanent legal residents of Canada (except Quebec) and the U.S.A. are eligible to win, providing they are over the age of majority in the province or state in which they live on June 1, 2011 and providing that they are not employees of The Ensemble Travel® Group, their participating travel agencies, Qantas Vacations, Qantas Airways, Air Pacific, Air Tahiti Nui, Moorea Pearl Resort & Spa, the Bora Bora Pearl Resort & Spa, the Matangi Private Island Resort, Paul Gauguin Cruises, their advertising or promotional agencies or the independent judging organization or family members with whom these employees are domiciled.
The Ensemble Travel® Group (contest sponsor) and Qantas Vacations reserve the right to substitute other prizes of equal or greater value if any of the prizes offered are unavailable for any reason. If for any reason in the opinion of the contest sponsor, in its sole discretion, the contest is not capable of running as planned or if the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the contest is corrupted or adversely affected, including by reason of infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond its control, the contest sponsor reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the contest including any method of entry . The Ensemble Travel® Group (contest sponsor) reserves the right to cancel this promotion at any time for any reason whatsoever.
The contest sponsor will not be responsible for telephone, technical, network, online, electronic, computer hardware or software failures of any kind, misdirected, stolen, incomplete, garbled or delayed Internet/e-mail computer transmissions on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any web site, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to participant’s or any other person’s computer relating to or resulting from participants or downloading any materials in this contest. Finally, the contest sponsor reserves the right to modify the contest rules without materially affecting the terms and conditions of the contest.
Online entries will be deemed to have been submitted by the authorised account holder of the e-mail address submitted at the time of entry. “Authorised account holder” is defined as the natural person who is assigned to the e-mail address by an Internet access provider, online service provider, or other organization (e.g. business, educational institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address.
All entries become the property of The Ensemble Travel® Group (contest sponsor). The contest is subject to all Federal, Provincial, State and Municipal regulations and is void where prohibited by law.
